Two geothermal licenses awarded

The French state has granted two geothermal exploration licenses to MOORE Géothermie (24.06,2013).

MOORE’s wholly owned subsidiary MOORE Géothermie was awarded two high temperature geothermal exploration licenses. “Soufflenheim” and “Durningen” licenses, covering 223 km2, are located in northern Alsace in the vicinity of the Soultz-sous-Forêt geothermal pilot project producing electricity which is delivered to the grid. The licenses benefit from the regionally high geothermal gradients, enabling water with temperatures as high as 170ºC to be produced from depths as shallow as 3,000 m.
