Soufflenheim license extended for 4 years

The French administration has extended the validity of Soufflenheim hydrocarbon exploration license for a four year period until 04.10.2017. The license, covering 200 km2 , is located in northern Alsace and includes the abandoned Soufflenheim oil field (1968) where MOORE Energy and its partner Geopetrol have secured a permit to drill two wells. The license includes a further abandoned oil field and an undeveloped oil discovery in the same Tertiary sands as well as more leads and prospects in both the Jurassic sands, which have produced oil and gas in test, and the potentially oil rich Triassic horizons.

MOORE plans to drill its first well within the next 12 months.
